Apron Transfer FAQs
Can you iron transfers onto aprons?
Yes. Our DTF transfers bond well to cotton, poly-cotton, and canvas aprons - the three most common apron materials. The flat front panel of a standard bib apron is one of the easiest surfaces to press a transfer onto.
Will transfers survive kitchen washing?
Yes. Our transfers last 50+ washes at standard laundry temperatures (30-40°C). For commercial kitchen aprons washed at higher temperatures, the transfer will still hold well but may have a slightly shorter lifespan. If your aprons are commercially laundered at 60°C+, sewing the edges after ironing adds extra security.
What temperature for apron transfers?
Most aprons are cotton or poly-cotton. Use 150°C for poly-cotton and 150-160°C for 100% cotton. Press for 12-15 seconds with firm pressure through parchment paper. Canvas aprons can handle 160°C.
Can I print on denim aprons?
Yes. Denim is excellent for iron-on transfers. The thick weave gives strong adhesion. Use 155-160°C and press for 15 seconds. Our white ink base layer ensures colours show clearly on indigo and dark denim.
What size should a logo be on an apron?
For the chest area of a bib apron, 10-15cm wide works well. For the main body panel, you can go larger - 20-30cm wide for prominent branding. Waist aprons (no bib) typically suit 15-20cm wide logos centred on the front panel.
